The Chicago metropolitan area, which is home to many plastic products manufacturers, has the largest number of workers in chemical and plastics industries, with 43,000, followed by Houston, which is close to it, the report said. The report says there are 28 metropolitan areas in the United States with more than 10,000 workers in both sectors, with more than 1,000 people in the two industries
